San Carlos City Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo and Vice Mayor Christopher Paul S. Carmona led the official filing of certificate of candidacy (COC) of the Team Unity candidates for the 2022 National and Local Elections, today, Oct. 6 at the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) San Carlos.
Other incumbent city officials in the legislative department Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) Members Benito Y. Gustilo Jr., Carlos Manuel L. Valmayor, Wilmer L. Yap, Jose Carlos L. Villarante, Mark E. Cui, Jeffrey M. Hidalgo, Philip Gerard B. Maisog also bid for reelection.
Former SP Members Victoriana S. Cabili and Jonie S. Uy together with the new aspirant Barangay 4 Captain Armando L. Laguda Jr. also run for a position in the city government.
Cong. Gerardo P. Valmayor Jr. of the 1st District of Negros Occidental accompanied the candidates in filing their candidacies for their respective position under the banner of Team Unity.
Mayor Gustilo said one of their main objectives for reelection is for the continuous development of the city especially that the pandemic has flogged the economy. He cited that San Carlos needs leaders that could deliver and continue the work for progress.
