Each year, WTTC and Oxford Economics produce reports covering the economic contribution of the travel and tourism sector in 185 countries, for 25 economic and geographic regions, and for more than 70 cities.
They also benchmark Travel & Tourism against other economic sectors and analyze the impact of government policies affecting the sector such as jobs and visa facilitation.
The Philippines now holds the largest travel economy in Southeast Asia after generating $52.8 billion in tourism revenue last year, according to data from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC)
