San Carlos PNP Launches Its Community Pantry

The San Carlos City Philippine National Police (PNP) organized its own community pantry called Barangaynihan Community Pantry which formally opened this morning, April 26.

At least 50 pedicab drivers and indigent individuals benefitted from said pantry consisting of various goods including eggs, packed rice, sardines, noodles, root crops, vegetables and fruits among others.

PSSg. Ma.Filomena Flores, Program in Charge said the event shows the spirit of bayanihan where people help each other especially those in need during this pandemic.

She said members of the PNP have shelled out their personal money for said activity while some people also give various goods to contribute as donors.

Flores added that in the coming days they will extend said pantry to every barangay so more people can avail of the various goods especially the poor community.

The said event was spearheaded by Plt. Col. Arthur D. Baybayan, OIC which gained support from different stakeholders and anonymous donors.
