The CMRPI in NCR continued its upward trend as its annual rate moved up at a faster pace of 2.7 percent in December 2021, from 2.3 percent in the previous month. Its annual growth in December 2020 was registered at 1.4 percent.
The indices of all the commodity groups exhibited higher annual increases during the month compared with their annual rates in the previous month.
The annual average rate of CMRPI went up to 1.6 percent in 2021, from 1.2 percent in 2020.
Relative to their annual average rates in 2020, annual average annual increments were higher in the indices of all the commodity groups in 2021, except for the index of painting materials and related compounds which posted a slower annual average growth rate of 1.2 percent during the year.
